About this experience
A guided hike up the historic Platteklip Gorge route. This trail leads up a deep ravine with big rock steps and scrambling in the early stages. It is the most direct route to the summit offering outstanding views of the City Bowl and Lion’s Head. The tour concludes with a cable car ride down.

Day 1 Table Mountain Hike
Meet your guide at the Lower Cable Station at the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway. After a safety briefing set off on the Platteklip Gorge route. The hike involves climbing steep stone steps up the ravine. Stop at viewpoints for snacks and photos. Upon reaching the Upper Cable Station enjoy time exploring the summit before taking the cable car down (ticket excluded).

- •Cableway Closure If the cableway is closed the descent will be hiked via Platteklip Gorge
